MIT-licensed SDK; model and hosting costs are separate from the library license. This is a development framework and requires application code. The official quickstart demonstrates gpt-6-astra; other providers are supported but exact compatibility is configuration-dependent.

Getting started
Requires Python 3.10+. Create a virtual environment, then pip install openai-agents. Configure OPENAI_API_KEY for OpenAI-backed examples and define an Agent with instructions and tools before running it.
