Getting started
With a supported existing Python installation, the official documented method is: python -m pip install aider-install, followed by aider-install. Then start aider in your project and configure the model API key or local-model endpoint. Commands are documentation only and were not executed.
Security & permissions
Can edit project files and commit changes; lint and test workflows can execute project commands. Review configuration and limit access to the intended repository. API use sends context to the configured service.
